小学英语语法：sorry的用法举例

　　1. 口语中说Sorry或I’m sorry有以下用法：

　　(1) 为自己所做的事情麻烦、打扰或伤害他人而道歉。如：

　　Sorry I kept you waiting. 对不起，让你久等了。

　　Sorry I didn’t phone last night―I was at the theatre. 抱歉，昨天晚上我没打电话――我看戏去了。

　　(2) 请求别人原谅自己所做的粗鲁或令人尴尬的事。如：

　　I’m sorry, but you’re not taking my car. 对不起，你不能用我的汽车。

　　Sorry, madam, we’re closing up for lunch. 很抱歉，小姐，我们现在要关门吃午饭。

　　(3) 用于礼貌地打断别人的话。如：

　　I’m sorry, but I’m going to interrupt. 我很抱歉，但我要打扰一下。

　　(4) 用于礼貌地表示没听清对方的话或请求对方重复所说的内容。如：

　　Sorry, I didn’t quite catch what you said. 对不起，我没听清你的话。

　　(5) 用于纠正自己在讲话中的错误。如：

　　You need to catch the number 3, sorry, the number 23 bus to Market Street. 你需要乘坐3路，哦不是，是23路公共汽车去市场街。

　　2. 口语中说I’m sorry, but…（对不起，……），其中的but不宜换成and。如：

　　I’m sorry, but I don’t share your opinion. 对不起，您的意见我不能同意。

　　I am sorry, but I can’t hear you. 对不起，我听不见你说的话。

　　3. 用于say sorry to，表示“向……道歉”。如

　　Susan said sorry to Jim with confession. 苏珊满面羞容地向吉姆道歉。

　　I have to say sorry to you. Our manager is away on business. 很抱歉，我们经理出差了。

　　4. 后接动词不定式时，根据情况既可表示动作将要发生，也可表示动作已经发生。如：

　　I’m sorry to say that we have no news. 我很抱歉地告诉你，我们没得到消息。

　　I’m sorry to keep you up so late. 很抱歉让你这么晚还不能睡。

　　但是，如果不定式用了完成式，则一定表示动作已经发生。如：

　　I’m sorry to have given you so much trouble. 对不起，给你添了这么多麻烦。

　　若后接for [about] doing sth，则通常表示对已发生的动作表示遗憾。如：

　　I’m sorry for breaking your window. 对不起，我打碎了你的窗户。

　　I’m sorry for [about] losing my temper this morning. 很抱歉，早晨我发了脾气。

　　若要强调动作已经完成，也可动名词的完成式。如：

　　I’m sorry for having wasted your time. 我很抱歉浪费了你的时间。
